Step 1:
Let’s Chat
(The Guided Consultation)
You don’t need to be organized.
You don’t need to know what you have.
You don’t even need to have everything in one place.

Starting a digitizing project can feel like a lot, especially when you’re dealing with years (or generations) of photos, videos, or documents.

That’s why the first step isn’t about sorting—it’s about talking.

What to Expect During the Consultation

We’ll walk through your items (virtually or in person)

I’ll answer any questions you have about the process

We’ll decide what should be scanned and what should be skipped

You’ll receive a project plan and pricing estimate afterward
This session usually takes 30–60 minutes, depending on your collection size.
Step 2:
Easy, Worry-Free Pickup
You don’t need to pack a single thing.
After our consultation, I’ll schedule a pickup at a time that works for you. There’s no need to box, label, or organize your materials beforehand. I bring clean, secure containers and handle everything personally with care.
Not sure if something should be included? Set it aside and I’ll help you decide when I arrive.

Quick and convenient (you don’t need to lift a thing)

Designed to protect your memories from the moment they leave your hands
Your only job: Have your materials easily accessible and ready to go when I arrive. I’ll take it from there.

Every item is treated like it matters—because it does. Your originals stay local, never leave trusted hands, and are always stored securely during the digitizing process.​
Step 3:
Let's Make It Official
Once I’ve reviewed your materials, I’ll send you a written estimate and a Customer Agreement.
Your estimate is based on:

The condition and quantity of the items

The services you’ve requested
-
The goals we discussed during your consultation

Nothing begins until you’ve had a chance to review everything and give your approval.
If something unexpected comes up—like damaged materials, extra items, or changes to the project scope—I’ll contact you before moving forward. You’re always in control.

Once you give me the green light, your project officially begins!
Step 4:
Careful Digitizing
This is the heart of the process where your memories are handled with precision, respect, and individual attention.

Every photo, tape, slide, and document is digitized by me personally using professional-grade equipment. I don’t outsource your project or run it through high-speed machines. Every single item is placed on the scanner by hand.
Unlike feed scanners, often used in bulk digitizing, my method avoids the risk of bending, jamming, or scratching. It takes more time, but it ensures each item is scanned straight, clean, and safely.

What this step includes:
Transparent Communication:
I’ll send updates throughout the project and contact you if:

I find anything damaged, delicate, or worth discussing

Something needs clarification or adjustment from our original plan

Professional Care:
Your originals are always stored and handled with care. Projects are kept separate, clearly labeled, and protected from start to finish.

This step is slow by design because your memories deserve more than mass processing.
Step 5:
Review Your Files
Once your project is complete, I’ll send you a secure, view-only link to preview your digitized files before anything is finalized.

What you’ll receive:

A private online gallery or folder to browse through your images, videos, or documents

Clearly organized, labeled files that reflect the goals we discussed
This step is your chance to review everything, ask questions, and make sure you're completely satisfied with the results before moving forward to final delivery.
Need help reviewing your files?
I’m available for one-on-one support. Whether you want to walk through your files together or need help spotting something specific, I’ll guide you through it.
If you notice anything unexpected or have questions, I’ll review your feedback personally and address any concerns before issuing your final invoice.
Step 6:
Simple, Flexible Payment
Once you’ve had the chance to review your digitized files and are completely satisfied, I’ll send your final invoice.
You’ll only be billed for:

The items that were actually digitized

The services that were completed with your approval

Any add-ons or upgrades you specifically requested
Your invoice will include:

A detailed breakdown of services
-
A secure link to pay online
-
Multiple payment options (credit/debit, PayPal, check, or other methods if preferred)

Payment is the final step before delivery. Once it’s received, your full-resolution digital files will be released and your original materials returned to you safely.
Bonus:
If you'd like to order additional copies, backups, or gift versions (like a duplicate USB for a family member), just let me know—this is a great time to add those to your order.
Step 7:
Delivery
With your project complete, I now prepare your digitized memories for delivery—organized, secure, and easy to access.

Your Digital Gallery (Photographs)
You’ll receive a private, beautifully organized online gallery where you can:

View and download your files from any device

Access full-resolution versions of your images and videos
-
Organize, favorite, and share select items with family and friends
-
Choose optional add-ons, like USB drives or other physical formats for long-term storage
Your gallery also gives you the option to:

Order high-quality prints of your favorite images

Create custom photo albums and keepsake books
-
Purchase wall art, gifts, and other curated photo products—directly from the gallery

Your Digital Files (Documents, Videos, Audio)
Document, video and audio files are delivered via a secure cloud folder system. These files are clearly labeled and organized for easy reference, download, and long-term storage.

Return of Originals
I’ll schedule a drop off at a time that works for you. All of your original materials will be safely transported and handled in the same fashion as the pickup.
